Have you heard of Banana Socks?🍌🧦
They were quite popular a few years back as a very easy sock pattern with no heel construction.
Nobody knows who the original designer is, but there are a few versions available on line, most of them free.
They are a simple tube sock construction with ribbing on one half of the sock and garter stich on the other. And voila, they spring into the shape of a banana.🍌
To make them for my husband gives a nod, too, to his hometown or rather the closest bigger city to his hometown, Liverpool, UK.
There you find the iconic Superlambanana statue. 🐑🍌
