What's on my needles (week 84)

The NY State Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck is next week!!!!

And here are more details on events held at The Knitting Garage at AL Stickle:

The Knitting Garage at AL Stickle is located in the heart of Rhinebeck on 13 East Market Street

 

  • North Light Fiber talk and trunk show

    FRIDAY 10.16. AT 2PM


    We are so excited to welcome North Light Fiber to the Knitting Garage October 16th! North Light Fibers is a micro yarn mill where they produce handcrafted minimally processed yarns. All of their yarns are 100% made on Block Island, RI a small island located 15 miles off the eastern seaboard. We will be featuring the Block Island Gansey hat kit. Each one includes a project bag, pattern and 1 skein of 100% super fine Merino 3 ply yarn in 4 colors and will sell for $35 each. You can pre order your kits here and if you can't come you can still purchase a kits and we will ship it to you!

    A representative from North Light will be at the Knitting Garage Friday at 2pm to speak about their mill and all things North Light, You can check them out here to get more information.

    Meet and greet with door prizes 

    FRIDAY 10.16. FROM 4-7PM

    Happy hour 5-7 pm with local wines, beer,s and bourbon with a donation jar for the libation.

     SATURDAY 10.17. FROM 5-7PM

    During both evening events there will also be a discount on the yarns; as if the events themselves are not already reason enough to come by :)

     And this is what is on my needles:  A poncho store sample done up fast with just two skeins of the Borgo de'Pazzi Firenze Naturalia.
